Patrick Watson
Berlin, May 2009 - PART 1/2

On the sunny morning after their concert at the Passionskirche Berlin, we met Patrick Watson at the terrace of a flat in Berlin / Kreuzberg. The air was full of floating tree pollen and the sound of birds and children at the nearby playground.

We talked about drugs and musicians in the 70ies, his musical influences, the fun of using percussion instruments on stage, cartoon music, his voice as an instrument, the urge to go to the recording studio, audience interaction and dealing with people talking during a concert, Emil Svanängen (Loney Dear), magical venues and the Haldern Pop Festival.

This is talk part 1 of 2.
